Screenshot Guardian

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 3, 2026

Screenshot Guardian runs on your device. The app does not require an account, does not show ads, does not use analytics, and does not upload your screenshots to a server.

Data We Access

Screenshot Guardian asks for access to your photo library so it can find screenshots, show previews, read text from screenshots on-device, and help you keep or delete them.

The app may also ask for notification permission so it can show local reminders and screenshot actions.

Data We Collect

We do not collect personal data. Your screenshots, OCR text, categories, settings, and cleanup choices stay on your device.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties. The app has no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, account system, or cloud sync.

On-Device Processing

Text recognition is performed on-device. On iOS, Screenshot Guardian uses Apple's Vision framework. On Android, Screenshot Guardian uses Google's on-device ML Kit text recognition library.

Deleting Screenshots

When you choose to delete screenshots, the app asks the operating system to remove those items from your photo library. Depending on your device, deleted photos may remain recoverable for a short time in the system Photos or Gallery trash / recently deleted area.
